Diners, Drive-ins and Dean

Okay so, I got my report card and yeah, its horrific but, there are some bright spots and quite dark spots.

So, good news or bad news first? Let’s start with bad news.

Biology = I FUCKED UP HARD.

what was supposed to be my strongest subject = A HOT JOKE. You’d figure after getting 100% on two of the biggest assignments, I’d find a way to go up but, NAH. I Screwed up my exam, possibly failed it and instead of getting my desired 80% I went DOOWWN. So now, when I come back to high school in September, I’m gonna retake Bio.

other than everything else being garbage, that’s it for the bad news.

NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.

STRZELCZYK IS THE MAN. I MEAN I MUST’VE GOTTEN LIKE 20% IN THAT COURSE, AND THIS MAN STILL PASSES ME. He’s honestly the best. Ima brain a man like. Yeah, so I don’t need to re-take calculus cuz he passed me. HORRAY!

Secondly, The physics fam came thru for me again, and I got a decent mark in Physics. Not THAAT GREAT but, still good for physics and I’m happy about it overall.

Finally, english. IDK HOW THIS EVEN HAPPENED THIS YEAR. MY TEACHER MAY HAVE BEEN A TOTAL PAIN IN THE ASS BUT, SHE WAS WORTH IT CUZ SHE IS EASILY THE MOST SLACK MARKER ON THE PLANET. The one 80+ mark I got this semester came from english. TY GOD. The thing is, english put me in a rhythm in which I started strong so, I wanted to finish strong so, YAY. I didn’t move in marks from before the exam, so that must mean I got around an 80 on my exam and on my culminating. Horay!

and that’s all.

Next academic endeavour…Bringing up chemistry, hopefully into the 80’s in summer school. WISH ME LUCK.

LOL marvel zombies is jokes.

So about 2 hours and 60+ dollars later, I’ve come home with 4 books.

I did find Marvel Zombies 1, Aw yeaah looks cool, im gonna try to take it in, hopefully This will lead me into completing the whole saga all the way up to Marvel Zombies return and Dead Days.

Got Punisher Noir which just sounds amazzinggg compared to the other noirs. This one sounds likes its gonna be awesome.

I did find Daredevil Born Again but….I opened it up, and realized how dated the artwork is and… even tho its just the artwork, Its gonna be torture reading it. I’ve decided to pick it up when I have a little more cash.

I did find a whole bunch of shit I’d absolutely LOVE to read but, one isn’t made of money. Spider-man noir, wolverine noir, X-men noir, Sandman, Swamp thing, they were all there but I decided to pick up this really interesting sounding novel called Haunt.

Haunt was made by the writers of Walking Dead, and the art consists of Todd McFarlane who is responsible for giving us none other than Spawn and Venom. You can definitely see his influence as the main character resembles a cross between Spawn, Spider-man, and the Anti-Venom.

Finally I picked up a compilation of Horror Literature. When I saw it, I immediately fell in love. I had H.P. Lovecrafts Dunwhich Horror in hand, and dropped it for this, so you know that this book is amazing. Basically it consists mostly of Edgar Allen Poe’s horror work, aka everything I’ve ever dreamt of reading.  It also includes other possibly, forgotten horror stories written by history’s greatest writers. Along with E.A.P. we’ve got Charles Dickens and O. Henry, so yeah. I HAD too buy this. Like I didn’t have a choice. ANYWAY.

I’m beyond happy right now. I’ve got my reading material to last me thru the summer, only because I need to read my old stuff too. Plus, whatever Jenna will let me borrow.

Anyway, OFF I GO TO READ.

So instead of doing house work. I’m gonna head out and buy some books. LOL

I’m planning on starting Marvel Zombies, and Marvel Noir.

I’m gonna try to find Marvel Zombies #1

and possibly read….Punisher Noir, then wolverine, then maybe X-men Noir if I can find it, then Spider-man Noir.

Definitely need to find that mother fucking Daredevil- Born Again.

Ofcourse I still need to read Batman Arkham Asylum, Swamp Thing, some more Hellblazer stuff, and Dark Knight Returns.

I’ll probably buy an H.P. Lovecraft book too.

I wanna buy an edgar Allen Poe book too.

really wanna read Murders in Rue Morgue and the poem: The Raven.

Maybe I’ll re-read my old books too.

WHAT I SHOULD BE DOING ACTUALLY:

is cleaning my room and organizing before summer school starts, and finishing the books i still havent finished reading like: The Thing About Jane Spring, A Clockwork Orange, Poisonwood Bible, Heart of Darkness and so on. GAH, oh well,  The fun is more in the shopping than the reading LMFAO. wow, I’m a flamer. I need to re-read and take in Sun Tzu’s Art of War.

Anyway. Yeah, ima go buy some books now.

GOES IN. Yeah we were kicking ass in beer pong out first game, but that was only because we were sober. Kelvin and Mags put us in our place afterwards lol. THEN MAGS AND I CLEANED UP STULL. coming home from prom 2010 and is waiting for longest train of life to finish crossing.

not in a very good mood at allll. only thing stopping me from ranting is laziness and sleep deprivation.

I never figured that listening to my phone play Here Comes The Sun while walking in the rain could mean so much.

with only my english exam left to write, its safe for me to say that my senior year from Hell is over and now I have Gr.13 to look forward to.

So, where’s the significance? Often my buddies will joke about the fact that they can no longer can watch a movie without thinking about what they’ve learned in English class. That every time they see rain, the only thing in their mind is the concept of re-birth. That happened to me today as I walked home in the rain after my physics exam, My last real exam of this school year, I could feel a feeling of being reborn and growth. An epiphany, if you will; a shedding of an old, worn and less developed exoskeleton. And then, my phone rings, and Here Comes The Sun begins to play (its my tone whenever I get a text) and the fact that I made it through hell and back finally sunk in. After a “cold winter” there it was…The sun. For the first time in over 6 months, I felt liberated of the shackles that strangled me, ever so mercilessly.

In a year where my grades won’t show for it, I’ve learned more than I could ever imagine. So here are my words of wisdom, that I’d like to share with the world after my senior year.

• Sleep, its a necessity but, for a serious student, its more like a luxury.
• Test your limits, find you’re breaking point, once you find it, learn not to cross it.
• There is such thing as too much
• No matter how talented you are, nothing beats hard work.
• Don’t be so arrogant, you might end up with a size 12 foot in your mouth, or worse. a really shitty average.
• Be strong, be a trooper, hang in there.
• if you have a lot of work to do, do your best, and be proud of what you attempted to do, and just accept the fact that you’re not superman and you can’t do a million things no matter how well you plan out your time.
• Some things are just out of your hands.
• don’t just plan things and be organized, actually DO IT
• Good habits, nurture them.
• You only get what you put in, and when u get a lot, it feels good, so put in a lot.
• If you’re not dying inside, sleep deprived, in pain, or miserable, you either took the easy way out, you’re not trying hard enough, you’re on some next level genius shit, or you’ve found a silver lining.
• Don’t put anything before you’re goals, and don’t settle for anything less then everything you’ve ever wanted.
• Sometimes it’s better to quit while you’re ahead. Count your losses, and come back stronger next time.
• Even when you lose, you still win.
• if you’re not sure yet, figure it out, before you get it figured out for you.
• Learn to enjoy the simple things.
• There shouldn’t be an excuse for loving someone/something.
• Find out what works for you.
• Not everyone is going to like you, some might even hate you and you won’t know why, so stop trying to please everyone because, as long as you find away to stay happy, who needs anyone else?
• its okay to take your time and pace things out, just remember that time waits for no one. You’ve got to be able to compensate for time lost.
• make sure anything you do, is worth your while.
• Life is short but long enough to feel the pain of consequences and regrets.
• I’d rather be good, than lucky but, learn to appreciate being lucky.
• Somethings curses are just blessings in disguises.
